Ryan advises organizations on cybersecurity, privacy, artificial intelligence, and technology matters, helping clients translate evolving legal and regulatory requirements into practical governance and risk-management strategies. He works closely with executives, boards, in-house counsel, privacy professionals, and information security teams to develop compliance programs, incident response plans, vendor-risk frameworks, security policies, and AI governance programs. Ryan has guided hundreds of organizations through ransomware, business email compromise, wire fraud, vendor incidents, and other cyber events, coordinating investigations, regulatory and contractual obligations, and communications while minimizing operational and reputational harm. He also counsels national and multinational organizations on privacy and security obligations involving healthcare, financial services, government, children’s, classified, and other sensitive data. Before practicing law, Ryan served in the U.S. Navy as a Supervisory Agent with the Navy Criminal Investigation Division. He earned his B.S. from the University of Oklahoma, his J.D. from the University of Tennessee, and his M.S. in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy from New York University.
